The next stepsCouncil is planning for the next steps towards COVID-normal including supporting, where possible, outdoor dining and shopping opportunities in Bayside once COVID-19 restrictions ease.
So far, over 45 businesses have jumped on board to expand into an al fresco space to serve customers in a new COVID-safe setting whilst taking advantage of the spring and summer weather. We are preparing for the community to Rediscover Bayside.
Plans are in place to manage any increase in visitation to Bayside. We have already moved to additional waste collection in our foreshore areas and open spaces in fine weather and will be enforcing parking restrictions including at beach car parks.
Throughout the easing of restrictions, the following COVID-safe principle always apply - wear a face mask, remain 1.5m apart, practice good hand and cough/sneeze hygiene, don’t go out if unwell and get tested if you have symptoms.
