Santa will bring all his greatest carol hits and festive cheer to Campbelltown’s streets this year as part of the Rocking around Campbelltown Christmas Convoy.
A festive convoy of carollers will follow Santa through the suburbs singing all the Christmas favourites alongside a bunch of special guests, including Batman and his Bat Mobile on Saturday 5 December from 2pm.
The convoy will stop and celebrate at places along its journey and replaces the annual Christmas Carols event that is usually held at the Campbelltown Sports Stadium, cancelled due to the COVID-19 health restrictions.
“I’m excited that we’re bringing carols to the front yards of our residents this year and will still be able to celebrate the festive season and spread the spirit of Christmas to everyone,” Mayor George Brticevic said.
“Santa and I went out to Macarthur Automotive last week to pick out his ride for the evening and to make sure the sound system is good enough to spread the Christmas cheer,” Cr Brticevic said.
“Unfortunately we aren’t able to hold our regular carols event at Campbelltown Sports Stadium this year but this event will ensure everyone is still able to enjoy the Christmas spirit,” he said.
A map of the route will be available soon on Council’s website so residents can see where Santa and the carollers will be stopping.
