Last chance to apply for a 2021 Cadetship, Apprenticeship or Traineeship
Blue Mountains 23 Oct 2020

Blue Mountains City Council is offering seven work opportunities, as part of its annual trainee program.

Since 2015, Blue Mountains City Council has offered a range of opportunities to members of the community to kick start their careers in the form of cadetships, apprenticeships and traineeships, across various sectors of Council.

The Cadetship, Apprenticeship and Traineeship (CAT) program allows people to learn on the job with structured training, whilst being paid for the experience.  Cadets, Apprentices and Trainees are mentored by long serving staff, in their chosen fields, allowing them to learn new skills and gain a qualification whilst also expanding Council’s skill base.

Blue Mountains City Council Mayor Mark Greenhill said: “Given the devastating impact bushfires and COVID-19 have had on the local economy this year, we’re pleased that Council can provide new job opportunities to both career changers and young people trying to get their first job, all while they are earning a weekly wage.”

Cadetships, apprenticeships and traineeships are available for 2021 in the following areas: •    Apprentice Civil Construction  •    Apprentice Carpenter  •    Apprentice Pumpfitter  •    Trainee Business Administration  •    Trainee Horticulture (female •    Cadet Engineer  •    Cadet Town Planner.

We’re accepting applications for 2021 Cadetship, Apprenticeship or Traineeships until Sunday, 1 November 2020.
