Young people and organisations across the state are being invited to partner with the Victorian Government to shape a new Victorian youth strategy.
To be launched in late 2021, the new strategy will improve how government works with young people throughout Victoria.
“Around 15 per cent of residents in the Gannawarra are aged 10-24 years, and it is important for our local young people to have a voice in decision making,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.
“This new youth strategy will give young people, organisations and the broader community opportunities to direct the State Government’s work in the youth space now and into the future.”
Feedback is being sought in three ways:
Submissions close on 14 December 2020, with all feedback received to assist with the development of the new strategy.
“All young people in the Gannawarra, as well as groups and organisations that work with young people, are encouraged to have their say on this important document,” Mr O’Reilly said.
