Register Now - Water and Rates Notice Available Online

Residents of Moree Plains Shire can register to receive, pay and keep a digital record of Council water and rates notices through Payreq MyBills, an online platform.

Acting Direct of Corporate Services, Andrew Probert, has comments on the benefits of digital water and rates notices, “Online billing reduces paper waste, save costs on return mail, provides residents with instant delivery and is an easy, no fuss way to pay and keep a digital record of bills.

“Residents will continue to receive water and rates notices in the mail if they do not opt into the online method and payment can continue to be made over the phone or by visiting Council’s Customer Service Centre”, said Mr Probert.

To receive and pay for water and rates notices online, residents should follow the following steps:

• Go to https://go.payreq.com/customer#/login and select ‘create account’. • Enter your email address into the text bar and select ‘continue’. • Complete your account details including your first and last name, mobile number and password, accept the terms and condition and select ‘create account’. • Check your email inbox for an email from Payreq MyBills asking you to verify your email address. • Once you have verified your email address, log in to your Payreq MyBills account. • On the welcome homepage select ‘add a bill’. • Search ‘Moree Plains Shire Council’ in the search bar. • Select which bill you would like to add, water or rates notices. • Select how you would like to receive your future bills, either through email, Myob, Xero Connect or BPAY View.

Email:

o Enter the BPAY View registration number on the bottom of your last bill, located below the BPAY logo. o Enter your name as it appears on the bill. o Confirm your email address and accept the terms and conditions. o Select ‘register’ at the bottom of the page.

Myob:

o Select the Myob product that relates to your account in the drop down menu. o Select ‘Connect to Myob’. o Log in to your Myob account and follow the prompts to connect the account to the Payreq MyBills platform.

Xero Connect:

o Select ‘Connect to Xero’. o Log in to your Xero Connect account and follow the prompts to connect the account to the Payreq MyBills platform.

BPAY View:

o To receive and pay for bills from Payreq MyBills with your online bank select the blue text, ‘click here’. o Follow the prompts on the BPAY View webpage to connect to the Payreq MyBills platform.

Online registration is not mandatory. If you have been financially impacted by COVID-19 or otherwise, other payment options may be available to you under Council’s Financial Hardship Policy.
