The Shire of York is in the process of obtaining quotes for the purpose of culling the pigeon population of York. Residents who are experiencing problems with increasing numbers of pigeons congregating on their property are asked to contact the Shire office so that identification can be made of key areas that pigeons congregate.

Any residents who may have pet pigeons are also advised to contact the Shire to ensure that they are secure during the cull period.
