The Tullibigeal Recreation Ground lighting and power upgrade has been completed by Council and last Thursday (November 5) the new LED lights were turned on for the first time.
The eagerly anticipated upgrades were jointly funded by Council and the NSW Government through the Stronger Country Communities Program (Round 2).
The newly installed LED lighting technology and increased height of the lighting poles will greatly improve the AFL, cricket and netball sporting facilities at the grounds, offering better night time access to these sporting codes.
The power upgrade has increased the electrical network capacity to the recreation ground and racetrack. Electrical meters and power outlets have been upgraded to comply with current standards and some of the overhead power supply cables have been installed underground to increase safety.
