Visitors to Eagle Vale Library can now get some exercise while they read after the installation of a new reading bike.

The bike is located in the common area of the library and has picturesque views of the Eagle Vale duck pond.

The bike has a number of speed settings to suit people of any age or ability.

Mayor George Brticevic said the reading bike was a great way for visitors to the library to combine physical and mental exercise.

“The reading bike is located in a cool, comfortable and relaxing location inside the library overlooking the magnificent Eagle Vale duck pond,” Cr Brticevic said.

“We know that physical and mental exercise keeps people healthy and happy and this a fantastic way of combining the two,” he said.

“I encourage everyone to come along and try out the new reading bike so you can enjoy a bit of light exercise while reading or listening to your favourite book or doing a bit of study.”
