The Gympie Regional Council, in partnership with the Queensland Government and Fraser Coast Regional Council, is offering local businesses the opportunity to learn how to stand out as a potential supplier for government projects.

The free online event will provide updates of projects that are happening or soon to happen in the Gympie and Fraser Coast regions.

It will also include a variety of presentations that cover topics such as, how to register for supply chain opportunities and how to pre-qualify to become an eligible supplier to state and local governments.

The event will also give tips on how to improve tender writing for use in private and government tender submissions.

“Economically, our nation, state and community are struggling,” said Mayor Glen Hartwig.

“It’s the responsibility of governments at all levels to facilitate economic growth and provide support to businesses where we can.

“Here in the Gympie region, council is very motivated to see ratepayer funds stay in the region.

“I would encourage any local business owners wishing to obtain government work to tune into these presentations.” Mayor Hartwig said.
