A Smithfield property once used for the cultivation of palm trees will be transformed into food, shopping and health hub.

Council has approved a proposal for a seven-tenancy development along McGregor Road, which will be integrated with a previously approved service station on the site.

The proposed development will include a shop, three food and drink outlets, and three tenancies that could include indoor sports, health care services or offices.

To provide additional access, a roundabout and left-in/left-out entry/exit on a currently unnamed road neighbouring the site will be constructed.
