Santa Claus is back in Freo for his traditional pre-Christmas chillout, to pick up some unique gifts and get some rest and relaxation before the big day.
Families will be able to snap a photo with the big guy at Bathers Beach every Saturday from 8.30-11am from 28 November through to 19 December.
This will be a ‘take your own’ photo with Santa, but there will be an elf on hand to assist if needed.
Families are encouraged to bring their own props and dress up for the photo - perhaps a set of antlers or bells, a cheesy Christmas t-shirt or Christmas themed outfit.
Places are limited and bookings are essential to secure your spot. For more information and to book your Eventbrite ticket go to visitfremantle.com.au/christmas.
Santa has also kindly volunteered to appear in the City of Fremantle’s latest Christmas campaign video, promoting Fremantle’s beautiful retail stores and heritage streets. To watch the video click here.
The City has compiled a handy list of gift suggestions to help you plan your shopping trip in Fremantle. Check it out at visitfremantle.com.au/christmas-shopping.
Fremantle is also hosting a variety of Christmas markets this year, including Bazaar at Fremantle Arts Centre on 4-6 December and Made on the Left at Esplanade Reserve on 5-6 December.
While the annual Fremantle Long Table Dinner on 28 November is sold out, those not lucky enough to get a ticket can still come down to Kings Square to soak up the festive atmosphere, enjoy the live entertainment and browse the market stalls.
On Sunday 13 December grab your picnic rug and join the City of Fremantle for a free Christmas carol spectacular at Carols by Candlelight at Fremantle Oval.
Join in the Christmas spirit from 4-8 pm with a festive sing-along and enjoy free children's activities and entertainment throughout the evening. Pack a picnic or indulge in the delicious food on offer from local vendors.
Due to COVID-19 considerations Carols by Candlelight will be a free ticketed event this year. Watch this space for ticketing details.
