The gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender tennis tournament will be on again at Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope this Sunday 15 November from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
The GLBT sanctioned tournament, hosted by Tennis Sydney, is run 8 times a year at various locations with Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope being chosen as one of the venues for the second year running.
Blacktown City Mayor, Tony Bleasdale OAM said it’s wonderful to see Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope recognised as a venue of choice for tournaments such as the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender one.
“We are committed to promoting inclusion within our community and encourage participation in this great sport no matter what age, culture or sexual identity,” Mayor Bleasdale said. “Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope is a great community facility and we look forward to hosting more tournaments and events in the near future.”
Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope is the largest tennis centre of its kind in New South Wales, featuring 16 plexi-cushion courts, along with grandstand seating for 288 spectators, LED lighting, administration and tournament office, function room, child’s play area and much more.
