Work on stage one of the new Gum Bend Lake walkway is currently underway.
The walkway is being jointly funded by Lachlan Shire Council and the NSW government through the Stronger Country Communities (Round 3) Grant Program.
Stage one of the walkway is a concrete path which will be 500m long and 2.5m wide, linking the carpark at the boat ramp to the lake point.
This stage is expected to be completed in time for the opening of the lake at the beginning of December (weather permitting).
The walkway will be a great asset for the community and visitors, encouraging physical activity in a beautiful natural setting. The walkway will also link to the newly installed exercise equipment.
