Wednesday, December 23, 2020, 8 – 10pm Pull up a picnic rug on South Bank Parklands’ River Quay Green and delight in a free cinematic experience at the outdoor Christmas Cinema, 18-23 December. Settle in for the evening and relish in the balmy summer climate as the sun sets over the scenic Brisbane skyline. Movie-goers can enjoy a child friendly flick at 6pm, while the 8pm session makes for the perfect date night or evening with friends. Packed or purchased, picnic hampers are welcome with the surrounding eateries providing premium takeaway bites into the evening. Spoil in a charcuterie board, Moreton Bay bug slider or a gourmet pizza, washed down with your favourite sundowner in hand. Please note that patrons will be required to bring their own picnic rugs to the Christmas Cinema, and to ensure no obstruction of views, chairs will not be permitted on the lawn. Furry friends are welcome, permitted they are kept on a lead at all times. River Quay is a licensed venue until 10pm. To consume alcohol, event attendees must be over 18 years and drinks must be accompanied by a substantive meal. The Christmas Cinema is free to enjoy; however, guests will be required to register their details on the night in adherence to the Queensland Government’s COVID-Safe Event Plan.
