Sports clubs score Go Clubs grants

Two Cairns sports club will share in almost $6000 of Go Clubs grant funding to assist with maintenance of their facilities.

Council has approved $3,122 for the Stratford Bowls Club to assist with trimming of trees which are impacting the venue, while the Leichhardt Junior Soccer Club has been awarded $2,800 for field remediation.

Go Clubs grants are available to community organisations that have registered with the Go Clubs program and have attained and maintained a Bronze level of accreditation.

Created by Council, the Go Clubs program aims to assist community organisations become sustainable, with a large suite of template documents and the hands-on support of a dedicated Council officer.
