Author Talk by Mary Li

26 November, 2020

Lithgow Library Learning Centre will be participating in an online collaborative author talk presenting Mary Li to discuss her memoir, “Mary’s Story”.

Join us for the highly anticipated memoir of the Australian ballerina Mary Li and the long-awaited sequel to her husband Li Cunxin’s bestselling memoir, Mao’s Last Dancer.

Mary Li (nee McKendry) is an international ballet star. Mary became a household name when her husband Li Cunxin published his bestselling memoir, Mao’s Last Dancer, however the book only told half the story. At the height of an international career Mary seemingly disappeared from view. Now after almost twenty years we will discover a remarkable tale.
