Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said the appointment of the Principal of Casula Public School as President of the NSW Primary Principals’ Association (NSWPPA) was a reflection of the quality of education on offer in the Liverpool local government area.
Mayor Waller congratulated Robyn Evans on her appointment at the NSWPPA, which represents 1800 primary principals across New South Wales.
“Getting a quality education and a quality job in Liverpool should come hand in hand,” Mayor Waller said. “Robyn typifies the high professional standards in our LGA.
“Education is the key to Liverpool's future. You can grow up here, get a decent primary school education and continue further study, particularly with the arrival of the Aerotropolis and its STEM high school and university.
“The next step is a great job without having to travel to the city. That will soon be a reality.”
One of Ms Evans responsibilities will be to improve school operations as the education sector adapts to the ‘new normal’ as well as working with the Department of Education and New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) to ensure the successful implementations of new syllabuses as outlined by the government’s timeline.
