Fernglade Road Closure - Illegal Dumping Waste Collection

As you may be aware, there have been many instances of illegal dumping of rubbish in the Fern Glade area over a long period of time.

Council is aware of this issue and has secured funding to assist in cleaning up and remediating the area.

Please be advised that as part of this illegal dumping removal program, there will be contractors undertaking works on Fern Glade Road in December 2020.

A road closure will be necessary to undertake the works safely, which will close a 1.6km section between numbers 502 and 266 Fern Glade Road, as described on attached map.

This road closure is scheduled from 9:00am 2nd December 2020 to 5:00pm on 4th December 2020.

While the program aims to minimise disruption to the public, through traffic will need to travel via Stowport Road during the closure period.

Access to Fern Glade Reserve will be maintained from the northern end.
