The Ouyen Service Centre is becoming a one-stop-shop for an increasing number of important community services following the relocation of Council's Ouyen Maternal and Child Health Service (MCHS).
The town’s MCHS is now based at the Ouyen Service Centre at 79 Oke Street.
Mildura Mayor Jason Modica said the move follows the recent successful establishment of the Ouyen Library in the same building.
"By bringing our Maternal and Child Health Services into the same building as the new library, it provides a convenient, single location for families to access a whole range of services," Cr Modica said.
"Ouyen residents are able to access exactly the same services and staff, but it’s now in a new location, alongside the library and the numerous other services and information available in the one place."
Council's Maternal and Child Health Service is free and available to all families with children aged 0 - 6.
The service offers a series of regular health checks by qualified Maternal and Child Health Nurses among a broad range of services, including confidential information and advice on:
child health and development breast feeding baby settling -nutrition maternal and family health postnatal support immunisations parenting. For more information contact the Maternal and Child Health Support Office on 5018 8277.
