The Gannawarra Library Service is bringing the joy of Christmas to Cohuna and Kerang this December, with a special edition of its Story Time sessions returning in time for the festive season.
One of the library service’s popular programs, Christmas Story Time sessions will be held at the Cohuna Library on Wednesday, 16 December at 10.30am and Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library on Thursday, 17 December at 10.30am.
“In-person Story Time sessions were last held in March prior to the implementation of COVID-19 social distancing measures, with the program’s popularity growing thanks to the initiative shown by staff by holding sessions online,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.
“The Gannawarra Library Service is pleased its Story Time sessions are returning to libraries at Cohuna and Kerang, just in time for Christmas.”
Each session, designed for pre-school aged children, will celebrate Christmas through songs and stories, with participant able to take home a special activity.
“Attendees are required to adhere to COVIDsafe measures in place at this time. These include signing in when entering on the day, as well as adhering to the 1.5-metre social distancing rule,” Mr O’Reilly said.
“Most importantly, if you or any of your family members are feeling unwell, please stay at home.”
Bookings are essential, which can be done by phoning the Cohuna Library on (03) 5456 2124 or Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library on (03) 5452 1546.
