Summer holiday fun

With school holidays just around the corner, we’ve got lots of fun activities across the peninsula to keep your kids busy throughout the summer. 

Activities will suit all interests, needs and abilities with art exhibitions, water wars, swimming lessons, take home craft packs, a mobile Gamerz van, robotics and more! We run affordable, long-day vacation care, entertaining environmental programs, intensive swimming programs, fun (and quiet) library programs and everything in between.

Vacation Care

If you need all-day care for your little one or just want them to be entertained all day, sign them up for fun games, activities and craft at one of our Vacation Care centres. Parents can relax knowing their children will be well looked after by our experienced and motivated educators.

The safety of our community and staff are our top priority so based on advice from the NSW Government, our summer activities will be taking place in-centre.

This won’t change how much fun the kids have! Come along to our summer Olympics, water wars, or the music bus, maybe runaway with the circus or book in for the Hip Hop workshop plus much more!

Locations: Cromer, Curl Curl, Forestville, Manly Vale

Time: 7.30am – 6pm

Cost: $76 per day (Child Care Subsidy available)

Ages: For children who attend primary school and those registered for kindergarten in 2021*.

Kids on the Coast

Our popular Coastal Rangers program is full of exciting outdoor adventures in nature with fun survival skills, treasure hunts, rock platform adventures and much more!

Where: Coastal Environment Centre, 1 Lake Park Road, North Narrabeen

Select dates before and after Christmas

Time: 10am – 3pm

Cost: $66 per session

Kids’ Art Adventures Creative Workshops

Kids’ Art Adventures Creative Workshops at Manly Art Gallery and Museum return this January. Children can get creative, spark their imaginations and have fun exploring MAG&M’s summer exhibitions to create works inspired by:

Creativity Challenge

Kids! Take up our Creativity Challenge and show us what you think a safe and welcoming community looks and feels like. You can submit a photo, painting, sculpture, story, video or any other creative form in response to the themes in our Better Together Social Sustainability Strategy.

Library fun Summer Reading Challenge

Pick up your logbook and get a stamp each time you visit the library. Collect your stamps, complete the challenges and submit your entry in branch for a chance to win one of six summer prize packs..

Click & Create is a COVID-safe creative program. Order a pre-made kit full of the material you need to create something at home! Collect your kit from any library and then follow a tutorial online. 

Summer fun at Warringah Aquatic Centre Holiday learn to swim

Dive into these school holidays with 5-day intensive swimming and stroke correction classes to improve your child’s skills and confidence in the water.

Giant Pool Inflatable

Kids can escape the summer heat and slip and slide along our giant pool inflatable.

21 Dec - 28 Jan

Weekdays: 12.30 - 3.30pm (closed public holidays)

All children must take a 25-metre swim test prior to playing on inflatable.

Kids can escape the summer heat and slip and slide along our giant pool inflatable.
