The Lancefield and Woodend outdoor pools will open for the 2020/21 summer season on Saturday 5 December and will remain open until the Labor Day long weekend on Monday 8 March 2021.
The two outdoor pools will be open for the 2020/21 summer season with revised operating protocols in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and state government restrictions including social distancing, sanitising and maximum patron numbers. The pools will open in accordance with the temperature-based guidelines which include:
Monday-Friday (during school term 1, 2021)
26 degrees and above: 3.30pm–6pm (possible extension of hours past 6pm dependent upon patronage and weather conditions) 25 degrees and under – closed December, school holidays and weekends 26 degrees and above: 12noon–6pm (possible extension of hours past 6pm dependent upon patronage and weather conditions) 25 degrees and under – closedOpening hours are determined according to Bureau of Meteorology temperature forecasts for Kyneton which are checked at 4.30pm on the day prior.
Council’s outdoor pools aquatic centres will be closed on Christmas Day, 25 December, and opened free of charge on Australia Day provided minimum temperatures are forecast.
