Residents are being encouraged to have their say on Mildura Rural City Council’s Draft Public Open Space Strategy.
The Strategy will guide Council’s provision and future management of public open space – namely public parks, reserves and natural areas – which play an important role in the community’s overall health and well-being.
This includes spaces used for recreation, conservation, amenity or landscape enhancement.
Council has worked with Tredwell Management Services and the community over the past six months to develop the Draft Mildura Public Open Space Strategy.
The strategy is available to view online at www.mildura.vic.gov.au/publicopenspacestrategy or at Council’s Madden Avenue Service Centre.
Residents are encouraged to tell us what is positive about the strategy, and what needs improvement.
Those who wish to provide ideas, comments or concerns, can forward them via email: [email protected] or post: Peter Douglas, Co-ordinator Strategic Planning, MRCC, PO Box 105, Mildura VIC 3502.
Comments made in writing, giving the author's name and postal contact address, will be considered and acknowledged. These will be considered public documents and the issues/matters raised may be reported in an open Council meeting agenda.
Confidential submissions may be directed to the Coordinator Strategic Planning on (03) 5018 8100.
The Draft Public Open Space Strategy is open to public comment until 27 January 2021.
