The Carols in Cairns movie has received more than 18,000 views through Facebook and YouTube since it was first streamed on Sunday.

Council received an update today on the movie, which was produced by this year as the annual Carols by Candlelight event was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Acting CEO Christine Postgate informed today’s Ordinary Meeting that it was pleasing to see thousands of families had tuned in, as well as people across the country and around the world.

Ms Postgate encouraged people who have not yet watched the movie to take the opportunity to stream it before it expires on 10 January 2021.

You can view the movie by clicking through from Council’s website, YouTube channel or Facebook page.
