Residents have until Tuesday, 22 December to have their say on aquatics across the Gannawarra.
As part of the development of the Gannawarra Aquatic Strategy 2021-2031, Gannawarra Shire Council is seeking feedback on aquatics across the municipality – ranging from the Council-managed Cohuna Swimming Pool, Kerang Swimming Pool and Kerang Exercise Pool to community-managed facilities at Koondrook, Leitchville and Quambatook.
“Council thanks the more than 450 people who have taken the time during the past three weeks to complete the Gannawarra Aquatic Strategy survey,” Mayor Charlie Gillingham said.
“As part of the development of the Gannawarra Aquatic Strategy 2021-2031, it is important to determine the community’s needs for future facilities and services, as well as review the facilities, programs, services, performance and condition of public swimming pools across the Gannawarra Shire.”
To assist with gathering feedback, the 16-question Gannawarra Aquatic Strategy Survey – which can be completed online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/GannawarraAquaticStrategySurvey - asks how residents currently use aquatic facilities across the municipality and what facilities or features would encourage greater use of these venues in the future.
“All feedback received will assist with the development of the Gannawarra Aquatic Strategy 2021-2031, which will deliver a road map for future aquatic services and leisure facility development for the next 10 years,” Mayor Gillingham said.
“Regardless of whether you are a frequent aquatic facilities visitor or not, it is important that you have your say to help shape the future of aquatics within the Gannawarra.”
