Support the environmentally friendly recycling of these problem wastes and keep them out of our landfill
Lithgow City Council continues to operate recycling programs for household batteries and mobile phone components (including batteries, chargers & leads) and now offers printer cartridge recycling as well. Recycling tubes for each of these items are available at a variety of locations within the Local Government Area (LGA) for use by residents to recycle their household batteries, mobile phones and printer cartridges for free in an environmentally friendly way.
Lithgow Council Mayor, Councillor Ray Thompson said “Battery & mobile phone recycling has been available for a few years now and has proven highly successful. With the addition of printer cartridge recycling the diversion from our landfill is even greater. It is important that these problem wastes are kept out of landfill and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. I encourage all residents to get into the swing of recycling these items and help ensure our environment for future generations.”
Separate tubes for batteries, mobile phones & printer cartridges can be found at these locations:
