Christmas and New Year Opening Hours

Council Offices Council offices in Berridale, Bombala, Cooma and Jindabyne will close for the Christmas and New Year period from 12pm Thursday 24 December 2020, with normal hours to resume from Monday 4 January 2021. The 24/7 Customer Service phone line will be open – 1300 345 345.

Waste Services •Nimmitabel, Bredbo and Michelago villages' collection will be bought forward to Christmas Eve (residents must place bins out ready for collection on the night of Wednesday 23 December) •Michelago Saturday morning collection on 26 December 2020 is cancelled. Next scheduled collection will be Saturday 2 January 2021. •Jindabyne area – all services scheduled for Friday 25 December will be bought forward to Thursday 24 December (bins must be placed out on the night of Wednesday 23 December 2020) Landfills/Tip •Cooma, Jindabyne and Bombala landfills will close only on public holidays (Friday 25 and Monday 28 December 2020, and Friday 1 January 2021)

Cooma ScrapMart - Saturdays •Closed - 26 December 2020, 2 January and 9 January 2021 •Reopening - Saturday 16 January 2021

Jindabyne ScrapMart - Sundays •Closed - 27 December 2020, 3 and 10 January 2021 •Reopening - Sunday 17 January 2021

Swimming Pools All Council swimming pools will be closed on public holidays only throughout the Christmas and New Year period.

Visitors Centres Our Bombala and Cooma Visitors Centres will operate as per their normal opening hours and will only close on Christmas Day.

Libraries Our Bombala Library will be closed for the Christmas and New Year period from 4.30pm Wednesday 23 December 2020, with normal hours to commence from Tuesday 5 January 2021.

Our Cooma Library will be closed for the Christmas and New Year period from 12pm Thursday 24 December 2020, with normal hours to commence from Monday 4 January 2021.

Our Mobile Library will have it's last run for the year on Friday 18 December, in Adaminaby. The first run for 2021 will be in Berridale on Wednesday 27 January 2021.

Community Service Our Community Service programs will be closed for the Christmas and New Year period from 12pm Thursday 24 December 2020, with normal hours to commence from Monday 11 January 2021.
