Residents asked for input into Budget planning

Published on 15 December 2020

Residents are invited to have their say on how ratepayers’ dollars are spent.

Mayor Ruth Gstrein said Council was just starting the planning process for its 2021-2022 Budget.

“We would love to hear from residents about what their priorities are,” Cr Gstrein said.

“What are the things you would like to see included?

“The budget process is a long and complex task for Councillors and Shire staff.

“It’s important to strike the correct balance between the needs and aspirations of our residents with the practicalities of delivering excellent services.

“This must be done in an environment which both is financially constrained and heavily focused on compliance and legislation.

“This year we’re undertaking more community engagement and I encourage everyone to think about the big picture and let us know their ideas.”

Residents are invited to respond here or to contact their local ward Councillor.
