The children's playground at Sturt Park has reopened after undergoing significant upgrades.
The refurbishments include a new wheelchair-accessible toddler castle with soft-fall, a disability-friendly swing, a double flying fox, and improved landscaping.
The equipment was supplied by Australian play equipment specialists Moduplay, with installation and earthworks completed by Barlow Builders.
The playground's closure also allowed Council to undertake roof replacement works on the park shelter.
Mayor Darriea Turley AM said she was pleased to see the playground reopened in time for Christmas holidays.
"The play equipment in Sturt Park was well overdue to for an upgrade, particularly in the toddlers’ area," said Mayor Turley.
"The new swing and castle are really inclusive and suitable for kids of all abilities, while I'm sure the double flying fox will prove popular with the older kids.
"This upgrade doesn't cover the whole play area however, so we'll continue to seek funding to roll out further upgrades in future."
The Sturt Park upgrade was funded through the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities program.
