If you’ve submitted a development application to Byron Shire Council over the last couple of years or have been involved in the development assessment and building process – Council wants to hear about your experience; the good, the bad and the ugly.
“As part of our review of Development Services, we want to find out more about the development application process from our customers’ point of view – warts and all,” Council’s Director Sustainability, Environment and Economy Shannon Burt said.
To achieve this, we are hosting an eSymposium, or online community consultation, so that we can collect feedback from the local community until end of January 2021,” she said.
To participate go to www.yoursaybyronshire.com.au where you can take a survey, leave your suggestions on the Ideas Board and provide feedback via the Guest Book.
We want to know what aspects of the development application process ran smoothly for you and which parts you found hard or challenging?
We need to hear people’s stories so that we can identify what’s working and what’s not and turn these insights into improvements in our services,” Ms Burt said.
The aim of Council’s Development Assessment eSymposium is to:
Share past experiences - including what has worked well and what hasn’t Review current requirements, processes, fees and charges; Consider and recommend efficiencies; Investigate innovative or different processes implemented elsewhere; Share challenges and difficulties arising from requirements from higher levels of Government.Visit the eSymposium at www.yoursaybyronshire.com.au/development-assessment-esymposium
