Our hard waste collection service is now closed for the Christmas/New Year’s period. If you booked a hard waste collection before 5pm yesterday, Wednesday 16 December, your hard waste will be collected before Christmas.
Online bookings re-open 5pm Thursday 31 December 2020 with phone bookings re-opening, Monday 4 January 2021.
Looking for alternatives to hard waste collection?
Consider some more eco-friendly choices for disposing of your hard waste. E-waste, metals, tyres, tied green waste and mattresses are recovered and recycled, other items will go to landfill.
Give your items a second life by:
• Donating them to an op shop. Check out our handy list of local op shops. • Checking to see if any of your family, friends or neighbours could give any of your items a new home. • Selling or giving them away. Post them to Facebook Marketplace, local buy/sell/swap Facebook groups, Ziilch, Streetbank or Gumtree. • Holding a garage sale.
