Feedback wanted on new highway signs

Published on 17 December 2020

Businesses and residents of Mullumbimby, Bangalow and Brunswick Heads are asked for their thoughts and opinions on proposed new signage on the Pacific Highway.

Transport for NSW has offered to put up three separate signs on the motorway highlighting Mullumbimby, Brunswick Heads and Bangalow, with the aim of encouraging drivers to take a break and pay a visit.

As part of the project Council is gathering the opinions of local residents, businesses and community groups, to see what images they think should depict their town.

The NSW Government’s Bypassed Towns Signage initiative is designed to promote towns and villages in rural and regional NSW to encourage economic activity.

People interested in providing feedback on the proposed signs should go to Your Say Byron Shire.

The closing date for submissions is 31 January 2021.
