Reminder – Commercial Customer Obligations at Council Landfill Sites

Isaac Regional Council would like to remind commercial customers of their obligations when disposing of waste at any of Council’s landfill sites.

Council asks all customers to follow these instructions when using this service:

Upon arriving at the site, report to the gatehouse/weighbridge and advise the Waste Management Officer of the type, source and amount of waste you are disposing. The Waste Management Officer is required by law to record the transaction. You may need to advise the GVM of your vehicle. Follow the instructions given. Unless your vehicle has a stored tare, follow the traffic management rules on the site to obtain a second weight after emptying. Set your two-way radio to the UHF channel displayed at the gatehouse to receive instructions or alerts. Upon arrival at the landfill cell, please wait until the machine operator signals for you to approach, then follow the machine operator’s instructions on where to turn around and empty your vehicle. Exit the site observing the site’s traffic management rules.
