In line with Lithgow City Council Christmas closures, Lithgow Library Learning Centre and the Wallerawang and Portland branches will be closed from 5:00pm Thursday 24 December 2020 and will re-open from 11 January 2021.
The Library team would like to encourage everyone to get their holiday borrowing sorted early so you are not caught out by the holiday closures. The Libraries will close at 5:00pm on Thursday 24 December 2020. Lithgow Library will reopen 9:00am on Monday 11 January 2021 and Portland and Wallerawang Libraries will reopen at 10:00am on Tuesday 12 January 2021.
From the New Year Lithgow Library and the branches will be returning to regular hours as follows:
Lithgow Library Monday to Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm Saturday 9:00am – 12:00pm
Portland and Wallerawang Libraries Tuesday and Wednesday 10:00am – 1:00pm and 2:00pm – 6:00pm Thursday and Fridays 2:00pm – 6:00pm Saturday 9:00am – 12:00pm
After hours book return chutes will also be closed during the Christmas closure and any items borrowed in December will not be due for return until after 11 January 2021. The library does not fine for overdue items.
