Council Meeting

The next Ordinary Council Meeting will be held on Thursday 17 December 2020 at Rydges Jindabyne. This will be the first Council meeting open to the public since COVID restrictions were put in place. If you are able to attend in person, please book (places are limited) via email to [email protected]. I also encourage the community to participate by viewing the webcast via Council’s website or Facebook page.

2021 Youth Council

Applications have opened for the 2021 Snowy Monaro Regional Youth Council. The Youth Councillors are a vital link between Council and young people in our region, and have the opportunity to ensure that the needs of young people are considered in decisions relating to our community. If you’re aged 12-24 and are interested in finding out more then I encourage you to contact Council’s Youth Development Team.

#holidayherethisyear

With interest growing for summer tourism, I spoke with ABC Canberra and 2GB Radio last weekend to share some fun ideas of places to visit around our region. It’s great to see the enthusiasm for driving holidays and I, like many of you, look forward to welcoming visitors back.

Australia Day Awards 2021

Another reminder that nominations are now open for the 2021 Australia Day Awards. This is a great way for our community to acknowledge individuals or groups in our region that are making a difference. Nomination forms are available at Council offices or on our website.

Christmas Opening Hours

Council’s offices in Cooma, Berridale, Bombala and Jindabyne will close at midday on Thursday 24 December and reopen at 8.30am on Monday 4 January 2021.
