Council advises that most customers will receive their Quarter Two water notices in the first week of January. The billing period will be less than 90 days however Council is working towards regular quarterly water billing for all customers. In future, water notices will be issued at the beginning of the new quarter and would be payable at the end of the month, that is, 31 January, 30 April, 31 July, 31 October.
The recent and upcoming due dates for Council water notices are listed below:
First quarter water accounts – due 15 December 2020. Most second quarter water accounts – due 31 January 2021.Council has a range of options available if you need assistance with payment of your water account:
Customers can use BPay on their internet banking to set up and control regular direct debit payments. The BPay biller code is on your account notice. Registering for regular direct debit payments (rather than paying your water account in a single amount) you can register here – https://council.lithgow.com/direct-debits/ Customers suffering financial hardship can apply for relief from payment of rates and charges. Council also has access to Centrepay which is an easy way to pay your rates and water accounts through regular deductions from Centrelink payments. You can register for Centrepay at Centrelink.
