Time is running out for people wanting to take part in the 2021 Great Barrier Reef Masters Games to get into the draw for a $2000 prize package.
Participants who register for the Games before the end of this year (midnight 31 December), will be in the running to win the Super Early Bird prize package, which showcases the best of what Tropical North Queensland has to offer.
The package includes:
One night’s accommodation at Pullman Port Douglas in a one bedroom swim out apartment with breakfast and a 50-minute spa treatment for two people.Reef Magic Cruises Marine World cruise/fly, departing Cairns. This includes a scenic helicopter flight from Cairns out to the Marine World Outer Reef Pontoon for five hours on the Great Barrier Reef before cruising back.Four park package thanks to CaPTA, which includes one admission to each of the following parks: Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas, Rainforestation Nature Park and Cairns ZOOM and Wildlife Dome.Early bird registration pricing is still in place until the end of March 2021.
The Great Barrier Reef Masters Games will be held over four days in Cairns from 20-23 May 2021, with organisers expecting more than 2000 participants aged 35 and over to participate.
“Masters competitions are becoming increasingly popular, with athletes of the older persuasion embracing the chance to compete, enjoy the camaraderie of some friendly rivalry and take the chance to enjoy holidaying all at the same time,” Cairns Mayor Bob Manning said.
“Cairns certainly offers the perfect backdrop for this type of event, competitors can put themselves to the test during the competition, relax and enjoy the Games hospitality during the night, and explore our spectacular natural attractions in their spare time.”
