City of Hobart Christmas closure information

The City of Hobart’s offices will close at 12.30pm on Thursday 24 December, reopening with normal hours on Monday 4 January, 2021.

An after-hours call centre will operate 24 hours a day for urgent matters, but general enquiries and Council Centre services will not be available during the closure.

Anyone wishing to make park or other facility bookings for the holiday period should do so before 12.30pm on Christmas Eve.

All kerbside waste, recycling and FOGO collections are as normal except for Christmas Day. Residents with a Friday collection are asked to put their bins out for collection on Saturday 26 December.

McRobies Gully Waste Management Centre is closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The centre is open 10am – 4pm Monday 28 December, with normal opening hours all other days.
