Council’s YouthInc group and youth development and library teams are offering an action-packed program to keep children and teenagers engaged and entertained during the school holidays.
From games nights to pilates and laser tag and pool parties, the program has indoor and outdoor activities for every interest including:
Handball and pizza night in Blackwater, games nights in Blackwater and Emerald, Pilates session and Nerf Battle in Rolleston, clay modelling and pool party in Springsure; and excursion to the Yeppoon Lagoon and Rockhampton Bowl and Leisure Centre and more.Parental permission is required for activities involving travel and minimum age applies for some activities. All activities require booking or sign on and participant number limits apply, and are subject to change with relevant COVIDSafe requirements. The libraries pre-Christmas activity packs for school-aged children were a hit, with only a few left. Library teams will be preparing another round of take-away activity packs after the Christmas break. They will be Australiana-themed just in time for Australia Day celebrations.
