Darkwood Road - Diehappy Bridge Closure

Please be advised that Darkwood Road at Diehappy Bridge has been closed today due to a localised failure.  Due to the risk of further damage to the bridge Council has taken measures and closed the bridge to allow for inspections to be undertaken.

Provision has been made for light vehicles to cross the bridge under direction tomorrow morning from 6:30am until 8:30am. 

Investigations will be conducted on the bridge tomorrow to assess the failure and council will provide updated advice as to the length and conditions of closure. 

VMS boards have been placed at Thora and on the west side of Diehappy bridge to advise of the closure. Further advice will be provided as it becomes available.
