The Gallery In Me is a free school holiday visual arts program supporting kids aged 9-12 in developing tools to express their ideas, experiences and sense of self. It offers the kids an opportunity to be 'seen' and 'heard', and the wider Brimbank community a chance to learn about their perspectives.
Over a series of five workshops, kids will experiment with a wide range of art materials, establishing personal connections to them, identifying which ones they can communicate through and building skills. They will then create artworks that tell us about themselves and their experiences, to be displayed in a public exhibition event for the whole community.
