About this position:
Isaac Regional Council (IRC) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communications Manager to join its Corporate, Governance and Financial Services Directorate for a five (5) year fixed term full time contract, based in Moranbah.
Reporting to the Director, Corporate, Governance and Financial Services, this position is responsible for the development and delivery of key communication strategies, programs and projects which promote the organisation’s corporate image in a way that is conducive to quality relationship building with all partners, including the media, community, business and government.

We are seeking an enegertic Manager who excels in providing strong leadership, aligns to IRC values, vision and mission and has a desire to deliver.
Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing or a related field and/or demonstrated experience (5+ years) in a similar position; Experience in providing strategic leadership in identifying community and customer needs analysis, strategy and policy development, establishing performance standards and monitoring and reporting on performance; Effective high-level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to interact effectively with representatives of the media, internal and external clients, senior executives, Councillors and Government Agencies; Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective public relations, communications and media campaigns; Experience in building a positive performance focused workforce culture; Local Government management experience is desirable.What it's like to work and live in the Isaac Region:
