Gannawarra Library Service’s popular Story Time program will again occur poolside this January, with sessions planned for Koondrook and Leitchville.

Designed for pre-school aged children, the Summer Splish Splash program will be held at the Koondrook Swimming Pool on Friday, 8 January at 10.30am and the Leitchville Swimming Pool on Friday, 15 January at 10.30am.

“Last year the Gannawarra Library Service held its first Story Time sessions at our local swimming pools, which were a success,” Gannawarra Shire Council Acting Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.

“This year we look forward to taking the program to Koondrook and Leitchville, providing pre-school aged children the chance to enjoy the summer sun with songs and laughter.

“Both sessions will also include songs chosen to promote early swimming skills like blowing bubbles, putting your head under water and kicking, as well as a special swimming-themed story.”

Free entry will be available for children, with adult supervision required.

Due to limited numbers, bookings are essential. To book your spot, please phone the Gannawarra Library Service on (03) 5452 1456.
