Local kids are set to have a busy calendar this summer, with a variety of engaging activities taking place across our communities thanks to the dynamic Shire of Ashburton Community Development team.
Between 18 January and 29 January, Onslow kids can explore their inner Tom Sawyer with raft building, nurture their budding artist with creative craft, or cook up a storm in the kitchen. Film screenings interspersed throughout will allow kids (and parents) to recharge.
Pannawonica youngsters are set for an exciting itinerary of novel events from 18 January to 28 January. Fledgling green thumbs will be thrilled with the chance to participate in gardening activity ‘Pots & Plants’. Intrepid thrill-seekers will be game to handle slithering snakes, while sharp shooters will no doubt take aim in the nerf wars series.
It is non-stop action for Paraburdoo kids between 25 January and 29 January. All are warmly encouraged to boogie to their heart’s content at the silent disco, perfect their tennis backhand on the court, and splash into aquatic activities.
Tom Price tackers can be treated to a special tour of Tom Price Police Station, marvel at remarkable reptilian critters, and cultivate their budding engineer with LEGO building sessions from 21 January to 29 January.
The Shire of Ashburton alongside community partners Rio Tinto and Chevron are pleased to offer all activities free of charge.
Programs and bookings are to be released the morning of 7 January. Keep your eyes peeled on our Facebook page for details. Registrations for some activities are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
