Submissions for round one of the Central Highlands Regional Council Community Grants Program will open next Friday 15 January 2021, with more than $140,000 in funding up for grabs.

The program supports local community groups and not-for-profit organisations to deliver positive projects that improve the liveability of the region.

Mayor Kerry Hayes said successful submissions will receive grants of up to $5,000 or $20,000 depending on the category.

‘This program is all about helping our clubs and groups to develop innovative projects and programs that meet the needs of their members as well as the community,’ he said.

‘Whether it’s a community event, workshops, new equipment or improvements to a facility, I strongly encourage you to apply and look forward to seeing the successful projects come to life.’

Submissions for round one of the program will close at 5.00 pm on 28 February 2021. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submission by early April 2021.

Application forms and guidelines are available from council’s website, libraries, offices and transaction centres.
