Planned Water Supply Outage, Clermont

Isaac Regional Council advises Clermont residents of a planned water outage affecting some residences and businesses in Clermont as per below:

Tuesday, 12 January 2021 10am – 2pm Weather permitting

McDonald Flat Road Frederick Street Clermont Caravan Park Clermont Council Depot Clermont Showgrounds

This outage is required for the installation of a new control valve for the Capricorn Street Reservoir to allow it to be reactivated for the township of Clermont.

As a result, 12 properties will experience loss of water supply for the duration of the works.

Water pressure variability/pressure reduction as well as water discolouration within the network could also be experienced as a result of the works.

The affected properties will be notified via a letterbox drop.

Additionally, there may be other areas of Clermont which could experience some discolouration of water and variable or low water pressure during this time.

Once the water supply has been restored, if residents experience instances of dirty water, Council recommends flushing tap water for up to five minutes or until the water becomes clear.

These works are part of the ongoing upgrade project of the Clermont Capricorn Reservoir and follows the installation of a new roof.

These works allow for a further 1.3 megalitres of potable water to be available for Clermont and will result in a more consistent water pressure level for the town.

Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their patience.
