An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Electrician to become part of our Trades Team in the Engineering and Infrastructure Directorate. This opportunity will ideally be based in Moranbah however there is potential for our preferred candidate to be based anywhere else in the Isaac region, should you desire!
Working with our Trades Team, made up of carpenters, painters, plumbers and apprentices, you will be responsible for the electrical maintenance and construction of Council Assets. The position works with the assistance of an electrical apprentice, whom you will mentor and develop through to successful completion of their trade certificate.
Travel around the region is a perk of the role, as our Council Assets span across St Lawrence, Nebo, Dysart, Middlemount, Clermont, Glenden and Moranbah. Overnight accommodation and allowances will be provided as required.
The successful candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience as an Electrician, preferably in local government; Knowledge of and familiarity with relevant Electrical Safety Acts and Electrical Safety Regulations; Relevant licensing for trade; Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; General construction induction card; and A current C Class Open Australian driver’s licence.For this position we offer:
Attractive salary package inclusive of over-award payment + allowances, including construction workers allowance locality allowance tool allowance and more!
