Final Goodbye for The Ambassador

The Ambassador, an unmissable exhibition from renowned contemporary artist Eugenia Lim, makes its final stop at Culture Hub with a thought-provoking virtual artist talk on closing night, January 15th.

Eugenia works across video, performance and installation. She has exhibited internationally at venues including the Tate Modern in London, GOMA, ACMI, HUN Gallery in New York and FACT in Liverpool.

An Australian artist of Chinese-Singaporean descent, Eugenia takes on a Mao-like persona in The Ambassador to explore identities and stereotypes, across themes of racial politics, the social cost of manufacturing and how architecture is part of our society.

Joining Eugenia is Bridie Moran, Executive Director of 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art which has toured the exhibition around the country with Museums & Galleries of NSW.

Both Artist and Executive Director will be in conversation with Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery Curator, Chloe Waters, an avid fan of Eugenia’s work who is excited about the prospect of local art lovers hearing her unique insights first-hand.

“Whilst we’re disappointed not to be able to host both Eugenia and Bridie here in person, we’ll still be able to enjoy a sunset drink before immersing ourselves in the exhibition joined by Artist and Director through the wonders of technology in a virtual talk.” explains Chloe.
