The Labourer/Cleaner Parks and Gardens (P&G) provides a high standard of operational and maintenance support to the Parks and Gardens section by performing cleaning and maintenance duties as well as general labouring tasks. This position will require the successful applicant to clean precinct amenities blocks, picnic shelters, BBQs and rubbish bins to Council standards as well as monitoring and reporting vandalism and maintenance requirements. The Labourer/Cleaner P&G will start work daily at four am, so it is essential that the successful applicant have a high level of reliability and punctuality.
The position calls for physically demanding work to be undertaken in a hot and humid climate on a daily basis. Applicants must be physically fit to efficiently and effectively undertake these tasks. This role includes a requirement to maintain a weight at or below the Safe Working Load (SWL) for the seat of the machinery and equipment being operated.
