When you hear “I’m busting” blurted out, you’ll be relieved to know there is a pubic loo nearby, wherever you are on the Northern Beaches.
A new toilet block was recently completed at East Esplanade in Manly. This completes works at this location adding to the existing intergenerational outdoor gym, swing set, accessible park furniture and pathway, landscape and paving works, signage upgrades, and a relocated memorial plinth.
The premium Sydney Lakeside Holiday Park at Narrabeen also underwent $250,000 in upgrades this financial year including new decking, redecorating the toilet block to the north as well as revamping the camp kitchens which are now not only functional but much nicer to look at.
Council also refurbished the site's reception building, decorating several en-suite facilities, and completed upgrades to four cabins.
Public toilet upgrades next in line include Clontarf Reserve and Long Reef Surf Club (where we are also rebuilding the kiosk).
There will also be new toilets at the North Curl Curl Skate Park and Community Centre and in Apex Park near Mona Vale Beach.
Council is committed to providing the best assets to the community and has an ongoing capital works building schedule. To find out more about these projects and track their progress, visit our website for the latest information.
